There is something about nature and art that always seems to blend perfectly. ❤ ❤ ❤
Today my mother and I went to a Raku pottery event, by artist Dal Shoesmith. It went on at his charming home. While walking around the gardens near his workshop, many pieces of his work blended in with the surroundings. We watched the process of this technique and learned about its Japanese background. At the end of the night we got to pick one of the pieces he made. I am happy with my choice ❤.
If you’d like to know more about this Michigan artist I will have another post about his work in more detail this upcoming Thursday. And I can’t wait to write about it 😉. See you all tomorrow!
Grateful of another refreshing day, a red clover plie’s (pled-ays) in the summer rain. ❤
*I can’t believe I’ve been posting everyday for a month now! I was debating on ending this series but after today’s picture, I feel renewed again 😉. So, I think I’ll continue this for another month! Yay! 💞 See you all tomorrow!
It’s nice to have days off, I get to use my good camera to take pictures! 😉
I took Odin out for a morning walk and saw fog in the distance. I ran back in for my camera and we continued our walk. Everything that was still was covered with dew…
I ventured the garden.
Then strolled across a field.
I happened to find a dragon fly that I though had died where it rested. I took multiple pictures of it until I got too close. While zooming in to see fine details, it sprung to life with a giant swoop of its wings and nearly hit my nose! I apologized for waking it the headed back home. I took one last photo of Odin basking in the early morning rays…
It has been awhile since I’ve made nature hearts, I just couldn’t decide which one I liked best, lol. And in the center is our foster cat that may find his permanent home tomorrow! ❤ I am grateful to have helped out this little lover. I’m very grateful of this day 😊.
